The book High on Country: A Narrative History of Cherry Hills Village is now available for purchase to the community and general public. The production of High on Country was a community effort, with residents contributing to all aspects of the book. Klasina VanderWerf is the author, with chapters contributed by Jim Muhm, photography by Lori Autterson, original artwork by Kent Lemon and book design by Dave Schmidt. The cost for this wonderful publication is $55.00, with all proceeds going to the preservation of parks and open spaces in Cherry Hills Village. Copies of the book may be purchased at the Village Center by check only.

Cherry Hills Land Preserve Hosts Insipring Art Event
The Cherry Hills Land Preserve hosted its second annual “Young at Art” show and competition at Glenmoor Country Club Wednesday evening, October 5. More than 200 fourth and fifth grade students from Cherry Hills Village Elementary School submitted art as part of the competition. The theme of the children’s art was, “How the Outdoors Inspires Me.” Art submissions featured everything from reed-lined lakes to downhill ski racing to a wolf leaping after a deer. The newly appointed members of the Cherry Hills Village Arts’ Commission served as judges for the event.
Barn Tour Success!
Villagers of all ages delighted in a perfect Autumn day on Sept. 18 touring some of the Village's most spectacular barns for the First Annual Cherry Hills Village Barn Tour. "We're Leaving the Barn Door Open" was the theme of the afternoon as families, friends and neighbors -- many riding bikes -- enjoyed a special peek inside three unique Village barns -- all of which embrace the equestrian lifestyle.
An Evening of Art in Cherry Hills Village
"An Evening of Art in Cherry Hills Village." On Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, the Land Preserve hosted an art event at a private residence in the Village. Gates Foundation Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Denver Art Museum Timothy Standring entertained the more than 75 guests with a talk on the joys of collecting art with references to Cherry Hills Village.

(Cherry Hills Village, CO; March 2008) One of the most beautiful and historic properties in Cherry Hills Village will be preserved for generations to come. Owner Catherine H. Anderson has placed a conservation easement on her 17 ½-acre property which spans the High Line Canal on the south side of Quincy Avenue.
